Life is a journey and an adventure and I enjoy capturing the moments along the way and sharing them.

I am a London-based photographer but love to travel.  

My family's magical cine-films inspired my love of photography.  My first proper camera was my mum’s Halina – which I “borrowed” - experimenting with it until it fell apart. 

I love photography and particularly portraiture, both of people and of animals.  I strive to capture the quirks of personality and provide you with images which you will treasure whilst, of course, having some fun at the same time.

Personal data I collect

I collect your names, your email address and mobile number, and a postal address so I can communicate with you and discuss the work you might like me to undertake, how to get to where you need me to get to and where to send on the photographs afterwards.  All of this is necessary for me to do my job.

How I collect and keep your personal data

You have either given me your details, or found my details online or by word of mouth and emailed me or called me or accessed my collections website as you have taken part in an event and provided me with your details, in order to look at the photos I have taken or interested in looking at my website or booking me.

If you go ahead with booking with me, I will store your contact details in my client database both electronically and in paper form.

I will sometimes collect your information if we have met at an event I have been photographing or someone has passed your details on to me as you may have requested me to get in touch. 

Right of confirmation, access, rectification and erasure

If you have questions about how your personal data is handled, you can just drop me an email and I will email you back. I’m happy to show you the information I have on you, and unsurprisingly it’ll probably be exactly the things you’ve told me.   If some of the information is wrong, you have the right to correct it.  If you’d like me to delete all your personal data, you have the right to request it. I definitely need some information about you to work for you. I tend to keep email addresses of my clients in the database for the duration that I provide your online galleries and at least a year or two beyond that.  If you’d like to fully close your account with me (so to speak) please let me know.

Use of your data

I will 100% definitely use your email to email you about the photos I have taken for you.  Or call you on the phone to discuss your requirements for the session you have booked with me before and afterwards.  If there’s something related like a voucher I’ll possibly email you about that.  If there’s something unrelated to your event but related to something we had talked about I may well email you about that too. I wouldn’t give your email out to anyone else unless you gave me permission.  I also won’t be sending you lots of newsletters. However you may receive a mailshot once in a while.

I normally store the details of your event/session on my computer or in a notebook.  Contact details will also be on my phone as that is helpful for me to get in touch with you.

Any and all information I request from you is entirely voluntary.

I will sometimes images to competitions but I will hopefully have checked with you at the time of our booking whether you are happy for me to use your images publicly.

Use of your face-based data

When it comes to your photographs, the EU hasn’t gotten too specific about what that means for working photographers apart from the need to demonstrate reasonable and legitimate use. if a third party does approach me asking me to buy one of your photos, I will email you about it.

There’s a few things I do to run my business, like show my work on instagram and my own website, use images on marketing leaflets, postcards, business cards, or photobooks. If you have booked me you probably looked at those photos.

You can veto any photos and please note if I am photographing an event then it is the organizers’ responsibility to ask their guests’ permission at events.

I store photos of your lovely faces on computers/ and hard drives in my house/office and a copy of your faces with an online gallery provider that is GDPR compliant (Pixieset) and website (Squarespace).
